The bridge at 10th and O’Connell Street is closed until further notice.

Crews arrived today to begin replacing the 10th Street bridge. The project is expected to take approximately 6 weeks to complete. No through traffic will be allowed.

In May 2023, the city’s Street Department cited noticeable deterioration and rotting to the 10th Street bridge. Staff quickly brought these concerns to the Board of Directors who voted to replace the bridge at their May 16 meeting.

Residents traveling south of O’Connell Street are advised to use Walnut Street to reach their destination. Those who need to visit the Human Services Department can do so using Main Street.
