Turkey Trot 5K set for Thanksgiving morning

The City of Arkadelphia is hosting its first “Turkey Trot” 5K on Thanksgiving Day – Thursday, November 23.

Presented by Southern Bancorp, the Turkey Trot will begin at 8:00 a.m. in the parking lot of the Parks and Recreation Center. The 5K route will include parts of Feaster Trail and neighboring residential areas. The route will end back at the Recreation Center.

“Arkadelphia has a strong running community, and a love for Feaster Trail,” City Manager Gary Brinkley said. “A 5K on Feaster is something we’ve always wanted to do, so we’re excited to see this come together for our residents.”

Registration is open for the Turkey Trot 5K. Those interested are asked to register as early as possible to ensure t-shirt availability.

Early Registration October 25 – November 5 $25 per runner
Registration November 5 – November 19 $30 per runner
Day-of Registration November 23 $40 per runner

 

Early registration and the normal registration period will end at 7:00 p.m. on the days listed above.

Day-of registration will be held from 7:00 – 7:45 a.m. in the Recreation Center parking lot. T-shirt availability is not guaranteed.
