The City of Arkadelphia’s Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce its program offerings at the Aquatic Park for the 2023 season.
This summer, the department will offer swim lessons for children ages 3 to 13, and water aerobics classes for adults ages 17 and older.
SWIMMING LESSONS
Parks and Recreation will begin offering swimming lessons at the Aquatic Park starting on June 6. The department will offer three (3), two-week sessions, all catering to six (6) different swimming abilities.
Session 1: June 6 – June 16
Session 2: July 11 – July 21
Session 3: August 1 – August 11
Swimming lessons will be held on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Each session will cost $65 to participate.
WATER AEROBICS
Led by Instructor LeAnn Savage, Parks and Recreation will kick off its annual water aerobics class with a two-week mini-session starting May 27, and ending June 10. Following the $30 mini-session, there will be three (3) four-week sessions residents can participate in.
Session 1: June 12 – July 9
Session 2: July 11 – August 6
Session 3: August 8 – September 3
Classes in each $60 session will meet Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Those wishing to participate in all three (3) sessions can purchase a Water Aerobics season pass for $135.
The Aquatic Park will open for the season on Saturday, May 27.
