The City of Arkadelphia Police Department is accepting applications for full-time patrol officers. Applicants must be a US citizen, at least 21 years of age, and must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. Applicants should have a clean criminal background that is free of felony convictions, be able to pass physical and psychological examinations, and certified officers are preferred. The entry-level base salary for a certified officer is $34,080 plus $3,233 holiday and uniform pay. Applications can be picked up at the Police Department, 514 Clay Street, Arkadelphia, AR 71923 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Police Department hiring is performed once per year on average, resulting in a list of applicants suitable for hire during the following year. EMPLOYMENT NOTICE-SENIOR LINEMAN AIRPORT MANAGEMENT- The City of Arkadelphia is accepting applications for a Senior Lineman at the Dexter B. Florence Airport in Arkadelphia.
Senior Lineman Airport Management
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide good customer service to both internal and external customers, maintain positive and effective working relationships with other City employees (especially members of his or her own team), and have regular and reliable attendance that is non-disruptive.
Accepts and monitors bulk fuel into fuel storage tanks;
Performs pre, during, and post-delivery fuel checks to ensure fuel quality;
Operate mobile fuel trucks;
Records daily inventories of fuel storage tanks and fuel trucks;
Completes documentation on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual checks on fuel, fuel storage areas, fuel trucks;
Assists the Airport Manager as required;
Conducts daily inspections of RWY, TWY, ramp, and other aeronautical areas in accordance with FAA standards;
Wildlife management in accordance with KADF Wildlife Hazard Management Plan;
Answering the UNICOM;
Makes immediate and vital decisions affecting the continuation of air and ground operations during emergency conditions;
Ensures the safe and secure operation of KADF by implementing and enforcing airport rules of the day-to-day operations;
Able to perform a variety of administrative support functions, including, but not limited to copying, writing, faxing, answering telephone
Perform other duties as required or assigned
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
High school diploma, GED, or appropriate aviation-related experience.
Aviation background and experience.
Experience in dealing with the public.
Experience in cash and credit sales.
The ability to operate tools and equipment listed in this job description.
Ability to drive and operate fuel trucks, and other associated equipment.
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Successfully complete required industry certifications.
Basic mechanical skills and aptitude.
Must be available for after-hours callbacks.
Heavy work- Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 40 pounds of force frequently, and/or up-to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Pushing. Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.
Pulling. Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
Lifting. Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles.
Fingering. Picking, pinching, typing, or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.
Grasping. Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
Feeling. Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
