The Community Engagement & Special Events department strives to bring residents together to engage in fellowship and fun. This is achieved through a variety of family-friendly events highlighting the talented individuals in our region (artists, musicians, food vendors, etc.) throughout the year.

Upcoming Events

The City of Arkadelphia’s Community Engagement & Special Events department is proud to offer a variety of events throughout the year for area residents to enjoy.

From formal gatherings celebrating monumental accomplishments to fun festivals and weeknight events, the full calendar of events can be seen below.

Arkadelphia Festival of the Arts

The Arkadelphia Festival of the Arts (AFOTA) is the premier event in the City of Arkadelphia. The two-day festial is a celebration of the visual, culinary and musical arts, and highlights local and regional talent.

AFOTA was selected as the Arkansas Festivals and Events Association’s 2021 Best New Festival or Event. The City of Arkadelphia is proud to receive statewide recognition for this event, and looks forward to growing AFOTA even more in 2022.
