Celebrate the end of summer with friends and family at Parks and Recreation’s “End of Summer Blowout!”

The event will take place on Saturday, August 13 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Feaster Park, and will feature:

  • Bounce houses
  • Obstacle courses
  • Rock wall
  • Miniature golf course
  • Outdoor games
  • Face paining
  • Food trucks
  • Extended pool hours

The night will end with a 15-minute fireworks show by Interstate Fireworks.

“We wanted to do something special for our kids and families to end the summer with a bang, and what better way to do that than with an awesome fireworks show?” Parks and Recreation Director Junior Rodemeyer said.

The fireworks show will begin at 8:45 p.m. Attendees are invited to watch from Southwest Auto Collection Field.

The bounce houses, obstacle courses and other event attractions will be open from 5:00-9:00 p.m. Admission will not be charged.

The End of Summer Blowout! will also feature extended pool hours, sponsored by Southwest Auto Collection. The Aquatic Park will remain open from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 13 as part of the End of Summer Blowout! General admission will still be charged during the extended hours.

This event is being sponsored by Southwest Auto Collection. A fixture in the community, Southwest Auto Collection also serves as the department’s platinum youth athletic sponsor.

“Southwest Auto Collection is a phenomenal sponsor to work with,” Rodemeyer said. “They are hands-on when it comes to supporting our youth athletic programs, and have thrown themselves into assisting with this event. To say we appreciate their support would be a massive understatement.”

Details regarding the End of Summer Blowout! will be shared on the City of Arkadelphia’s social media channels in the weeks leading up to the event.
