The City of Arkadelphia’s Parks and Recreation department continues to grow its partnership with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission with the announcement of its second annual Youth Fishing Derby.
The Youth Fishing Derby will be held on Saturday, April 22 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Youth Sports Complex pond.
The goal of the Youth Fishing Derby is to expose area children to the sport of fishing. Minimal instruction will be provided. Prizes will be given away for various catches, weights, etc.
Fishing poles and bait will not be provided. Those wishing to participate must supply their own equipment.
